Job description

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Executive with a proven track record in developing customer relationships, leading to customer acquisition and revenue growth to meet company targets. You have enough ambition and capabilities to grow to Sales Manager. You will be responsible for developing a targeted sales approach and have the opportunity to build a sales team and have a high level of autonomy in doing so. You are a self-starter, with a proven track record with ideally experience in IT services sectors, although this is not a pre-requisite any affinity with IT is a plus. Do you recognize yourself? Risklane is a fast-growing IT risk attestation company that advises leading companies in Europe on cybersecurity, IT risk management, and process improvement. We have offices in the Netherlands, Utrecht, and the UK, London. Based on our progressive vision, our consultants help organizations grow and excel. We have been expanding our services outside the Netherlands and the UK recently and aim to grow from 50 to 150 employees in the next two years. And we can't do that without you! As a Sales Executive, you will have a crucial role in realizing are envisaged growth, and you will have key responsibilities such as:



- Achieve growth and hit sales targets yourself and successfully manage colleague consultants in their consultative selling

- Develop and implement a targeted sales approach for mid-sized attractive customers, thereby expanding the company's customer base and ensuring market share gains in new countries

- Build your sales team, set objectives, coach and monitor the performance of sales executives in the next years

- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and truly understanding their needs and requirements

- Present sales, revenue, and expense reports and set realistic forecasts to share with the management team

- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status


As a Sales Executive, you start by taking care of customer contact, preparing proposals, and updating your accounts in Hubspot. What you kill is what you eat, hence your future salary consists of both fixed and variable components, with bonuses paid directly with your monthly paycheck. additionally, you optimize our sales processes for new prospects and existing customers.

You must have obtained at a minimum a bachelor's degree. In addition, you have at least one to three years of relevant work experience and an excellent understanding of the English language (written and oral). Any additional languages spoken are a plus given the international role. We further expect the following;


- BS/MS degree in business, economics, or a related field

- Successful previous experience as a sales executive or sales manager, consistently achieving or exceeding targets

- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences

- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

- Strong business sense and industry expertise

- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills


You are a customer-oriented and accurate professional who is approachable, solution-oriented, and always looking for new opportunities. Of course, you have strong communication skills, can easily connect with people at various levels, and have a demonstrable affinity with sales. Both with new and existing customers.
